Christa, Micke and I arrived in Riga about 14:00 and waited for Aigars to arrive to take us to the afternoon programme. Fortunately somebody had cancelled this so we leapt into his car and set off for Valmiera instead.

After an hour we stop at a roadside bistro for coffee and cake, while Aigars joins an online meeting.

Now we approach Valmiera along a road with woods on one side and fields on the other. Micke sits in the front. Christa sits in the back working on her phone. I sit next to her photographing the rear view mirror from time to time.
