The sun shone all weekend and the snow melted rapidly. This morning it surprised us by staying in bed. The day started with thick mist covering a blanket of grayness and the day has continued in the same way.

I stand in the drive and look up at the weather vane. Only the wood of the rood prevents me from taking a monochrome image.
