Lighthouse Beach, 19:45

The rain has stopped. The weather forecast suggests that it might have gone for good. In the afternoon we decide to take advantage of this and walk to the beach.

We do the full tour. We wander up and down. We sit in Crab Club and decide to have a masala dosa. We decide that these might become our new favourite food. We walk along to Hawa beach to get a rickshaw home.

The weather forecast proves very wrong and we duck into Rock Café to get out of the sudden torrential rain. While there I look idly at the menu on the table. I notice with surprise that they have fruit chapati with custard available.

This reminds me of the one I had at Natesh Café on Sunday. I had assumed that someone at Natesh Café had invented them as some sort of eccentric joke. Now I realise that they must count as a local delicacy, however uncommon.

I decide against having one now.
