I spend more of the day than I want in front of a computer. I have my final meeting with the DGD team before I see them all in person next week.
Russell Southwood posted me a copy of his new book Africa 2.0 a week or so ago so that I could read it before we record a conversation for Miaaw. This gave me a perfect glimpse into the workings of international delivery now that Britain has flounced out of Europe. I had to fill in a lengthy online customs declaration, wait for it to get ratifies, and then wait for Posti to collect it from customs and deliver it.
I used the online tracking system (which I had not known about before) and discovered yesterday that it had arrived in Easton where I could collect it.
In the early afternoon I do just that.
Later I go for a walk. As I do an ambulance passes, lights flashing.
