Garden, 9:52

I wake to the sound of rain which continues through breakfast and signals the unlikelihood of a morning walk. I do some housework instead.
Later when the rain has stopped I break my day by going into the garden to do some of the tasks that need doing. I come across some large plants trying to escape onto the path. Autumn colours a-go-go, I say, as I admonish them.
I will return to work at an increasing pace, as I realise all the things I should get done before we leave for Kerala: some for me, some for us, some for Miaaw, and some for Snowcastle Valley. I will have a Zoom meeting with Stephen Hadley whom I have not spoken to in a couple of years.
All this makes me happier than I might expect.
