Stockmann, 19:38
I will spend most of my day working on DGD: coding, designing certificates, and having meetings.
I have a problem that I oughtn’t to have. I have created a game of Breakout using Scratch and it has some rough edges which I will polish later. However it also has a mysterious malfunction that I cannot trace to anything in particular. Sometimes the bricks simply do not react when the ball hits them.
I suspect that the collision test doesn’t fire every time for reasons to do with the position of the bricks as opposed to the centre of the ball. I cannot think of any more ways of testing it, and I cannot fix it until I understand the actual problem.
This becomes more complex when the only way of testing the game involves playing it and I turn out not to play it very well.
In the end I put it away and we head off to Itis where we pas through Stockmann and I get diverted by the skeleton that always hangs in the Kiehl’s store-within-a-store. I wonder why I have never photographed it before and then photograph it.
So it goes.
