I start the day by going into my diary and re-establishing focus points for every weekday morning so that I have an idea of what I should prioritise when I wake up, without having to work it out from scratch. I did this in the Spring and found it extremely helpful.
I spent the morning doing this and that. I bundle up this week’s podcast and set about creating the Miaaw newsletter. I get further than I think I will, and have three good ideas.
I spend a good part of the afternoon in a Zoom meeting with Mats Bergman discussing my doctorate. We agree that I should turn my attention to looking at whether the resurgence of interest in the terrain theory of disease amounts to a conspiracy of misinformation or an uprising of fallibalist citizen science.
Now, the day done, we have come to Lidl, and as we leave I look up at the sky which has turned the sort of colour I associate only with Finland. I pause to photograph it.
