Kitchen, 17:15
Chester Cathedral has many interesting things to see, and the gift shop also contained its share of wonders. I noticed that they had had a special edition of Monopoly made, in which you bought relics, saints and angels, which struck me as almost absurd enough to warrant buying.
I passed it up on the grounds that I didn’t want to add an unnecessary Monopoly box to our luggage, since we had travelled unusually light this time. Instead we bought a few gifts including a box of English tea intended for Irma’s mother.
Today we opened it to discover it contained the wrong contents. It should contain one bag of English Breakfast tea, one bag of English Afternoon tea (whatever that means), and one bag of Earl Grey. Instead we had one Morning tea, two Afternoon teas (whatever…), and zero bags of Earl Grey.
I spend some time on their website, and chat to a real person on their chatline. I get a reply later asking me to forward photos of the packaging so I do. Now I wait with amused interest to see what happens next.
