I normally find myself around here on a Sunday, and I have formed the opinion that this kioski never opens. Now, in true Sherlock Holmes style, I realise how my limited perspective distorted my thinking.

This kioski never opens on Sundays.

Judging from the lack of customers not many other people know the rules, or feel like stopping for a coffee by the road on a Saturday afternoon.

When I come back later the situation will remain unchanged. Having said that, I definitely feel that the traditional Helsinki kiosks should not lapse into disuse. Thanks to Aalto University, this one remains open for business.

Let us hope that it sometimes has business to remain open for.
