Later than in previous years I finally manage to get the bamboo at the bottom of the garden under control. I started in earnest before we left for Riga and I continue this afternoon. By the time I finish the wire fence at the rear of the garden clearly marks where the bamboo ends and the garden begins.

The sun comes out at some point and the wind stays away, and the day turns hot. I pause and photograph a fly on the window frame of one of the buildings. The reflections surprise me when I look at the image later. I did not recall that that window has double glazing.

In the evening the temperature will suddenly drop and Trulle will appear looking for somewhere warm to sleep.
