Sandholm, 15:45

I spent all day until now clearing the bamboo from the garden. It had grown faster than I had hoped and I found myself pulling out two metre tall plants. I got the back of the garden cleared and the stone that Auo and Niilia discovered one summer stood revealed again. (They discovered it because the bamboo had grown unimpeded for ten or more years and had spread halfway to the house. The stone lay hidden in the middle and if they had not “discovered” it I would have not have tried to get the bamboo up.)
We take the rubbish to Benita’s and fill up the water canisters. We decide to sit there for coffee and look out over the sea.
