We leap out of Rajeev’s rickshaw at the bottom of the hill by Lighthouse Beach and stop briefly to look around. I take a photo from the bottom of the lighthouse across the bay. The weather becomes rapidly cloudier. If I had waited a few minutes I could have taken a photograph of mist over the sea.

We walk along the seafront to the Crab Club and the rain starts again as soon as we start moving. The seafront seems almost completely deserted, although Beatles restaurant has a few customers. After a few minutes Chad and Sally join us and we order some beer. We have met them twice now and we all seem to like each other. I think I will meet them again at least once more before I leave for Helsinki.

We all eat vegetarian and my chilly paneer, although not as spicy as the waiter had indicated, tasted great. The waiter, we realised, used to work at ABC which, of course, explained why he seemed so familiar.

I wonder where Michael works at the moment.
