These puppets came from India. Therefore India has a tradition of puppetry. I say this to myself as I alternate between writing my book and planning the Scratch work that will begin in Kerala in ten days time. Irma has suggested that I add a reading club to the fun I will have there and I have reminded myself of the puppet I used to have. Perhaps, I think, I could sit there quietly, looking around, while the puppet does the reading.

I like this idea. It adds a whole, completely unnecessary, layer to the process of reading stories in English to children who don’t understand English. I think I have almost convinced myself.
