As a regular reader of the Monocle newsletter I learned that they had a book launch planned for tonight. I emailed the head of events and asked if we could come, and we got our names placed on the guest list.

The book launch takes place at the Glasshouse and Tyler Brulée gives a long and amusing opening address, with the result that everyone feels as though they would like to talk to him and buy a copy of the book once he has signed it.

I had never stepped inside the Glasshouse before so I wander around happily looking at the books and th crafts and the pieces of art on the walls.
