Frédéric met me in the lobby at 14:00 and we sat for an hour discussing our strategy for the meeting at 3. Then we walked to KEA’s headquarters which took about fifteen minutes to meet Arturo, the head of the organisation.

After a two hour meeting he agreed that KEA would join the VAKEN project as a partner and that they would write the application for Erasmus funding. I left happy.

Frédéric stayed behind to talk to some people he knew there and I walked back through the increasingly heavy rain to Motel One. Once I get to Room 520 I look out of the window and take the traditional “looking out of my hotel window” photograph.

At 18:30 Frédéric will arrive to collect me and take me for a celebratory dinner which, at my insistence, will take place no more than 200 metres from the hotel.

I have done enough walking. I don’t want to wear my legs out.
