This morning we flew from Trivandrum to Dubai, depending on what you mean by “this morning”. We got a car to the airport at 22:00 because we had to get a Rapid PCR test no earlier than six hours before take–off. We got the test about 23:00 and then waited an hour for the result. We then sat until 4:30 for the plane, where we managed a couple of hours sleep.

At Dubai we got told that we had to take another rapid PCR test before we could enter the country. We got to the Star Metro (Room 608, detail lovers) in Deira, and promptly fell asleep.

Awake again, sometime in the afternoon, I look out of the window at the block opposite and the multiple reflections bouncing off the glass sides of the next building.
