We spent the day working with DOP and DGD. Irma went to Challai market with Asha and I led a session with Sahan and Simi. I walked to SISP using the “shortcut” that seemed longer than the normal route. I arrived dripping with sweat.

I walked home using the normal route: up the steep hill to the main road at Kovalam Junction, right past the shops and a right turn into KS Road. In doing this I discovered thst the building over the road where the singing comes from belongs to the Salvation Army.

In the early evening Sahan and Anamika arrive and we all eat momos and exchange gifts. We then head to Oyster restaurant in Samudra beach.

We spend the evening there chatting and eating. Irma had phoned ahead to make sure they actually had food tonight.

The food proved very good and we all had a great time. It felt good actually meeting Anamika in person and seeing Sahan for the first time in two years.

The sunset lived up to everyone’s expectations too.
