A306, Arcada, 12:34
I have come to Arcada for several reasons, and I have successfully completed two of them. I have tested the Minecraft Snowcastle Valley accounts with Elli at home and me here. We managed to log into each other’s worlds with no difficulty and no lag. We will do one more test next week before we start testing with Sahan.
I also spent a long time with Monica while we worked our way through the Travel application that Arcada uses. The new version contains a bug that makes it display in Finnish whatever language you set it to. Given its peculiar terminology in any language this provides a major headache. Eventually, working together, we manage to get my VAKEN expenses loaded into the system.
I now stand in the room chatting to Jutta before we go for lunch at Momo and More. I look around the newly refurbished room; redesigned to reflect Arcada’s new mission as a task-based workspace. The back wall has a gigantic photographic print covering it showing a bird high above an out-of-focus cityscape. I decide that I know what birds look like and photograph one corner of the image instead.
Later in the afternoon I will go to Finnkino in Itis, for the second time in a week. I will watch The Father with Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman. It probably counts as the best film about memory loss I can remember seeing.
