Bio Rex, 15:00
On Sunday the 8th we stopped as we passed through Senate Square and spent thirty minutes or so looking and listening to 1.78, the soft sculpture created by Janet Echelman.
Today I go to Bio Rex to watch her talk about the work. And herself. And her history. Only about twenty people attend in person although more view the presentation online.
You can only go so far with a phone, when it comes to taking photographs in dim lighting. I decide to go slightly further than that in an attempt to document the event without regard to technical niceties. I get what I expected: an image that I cannot describe as a perfect photograph.
It does, however, capture something of her body language.
The event takes about 100 minutes and after that I will leave the Bio Rex and walk out into the rain.
