Dining table, 8:12

For some reason we have a Kellogg’s Variety Pak in the house and I find myself shocked by the new packet designs. I have noticed them in the shops and I cannot work out what the designers imagine they have achieved.

The name of the cereal seems carefully hidden and the packets seem oddly unreadable: both literally and in the semiotic sense.

I finish my breakfast, go for a walk and listen to an episode of No Stupid Questions from which Steven Dubner has run away. Angela Duckworth hosts it with Laurie Santos from the Happiness Lab podcast.

I wonder whether I should start listening to that too.
