Yesterday we heard the first night of Tirmo Blues, although we knew nobody who had actually gone to it.

This afternoon at about 13:23 we set off for the ferry and went over to Tirmo to see how things had progressed. The festival had started at 12:00 and the first band had come and gone but when we went to look the crowd seemed to number in the severals.

Doubtless it will grow somewhat but we have decided to have our own DIY Fringe Festival. We have dug out the record player and some of our records (mostly Irma’s but with a few of mine). These have become the first ones to make the grade for the evening playlist.

We have a lot of Finnish bands from the eighties if these start to seem too sensible: from Dingo on down.
