The sun continues to blaze. I walk to the beach and photograph the sea and the shore. I cannot resist including my own shadow in some of the images.

Later, as we drive home, we will drive through localised rain. We will drive along a dry highway, enter a small village, where rain falls heavily, and then leave the village to return to a dry highway.

This will continue all the way to Helsinki.

An hour after we arrive home, the sky will darken and loud thunder will fill the air. Unrealistically large raindrops will slowly land on the terrace with audible splats. Then moonsoon-like torrents will flood the place.

It will continue for an hour or so and, once it has finished, it will leave pools of water ringed with thick pollen.
