Linnanherrantie, 08:42

I left for a walk after breakfast, listening to the final section of Steve Levitt’s conversation with Sam Harris. Then I switched over to the latest episode of No Stupid Questions.
As I walk off the long path and into Linnanherrantie I look at the woods. The snow has disappeared completely now.
When I get a little further on I see a long snake of snow, protected by its crust of pebbles and dirt. It still survives.
I will spend the day trying to read and write while workman shatter concrete and drill and scrape somewhere nearby. I will have a Vaken meeting under these conditions on Zoom, which will save me from listening to it all.
I will smile and nod and look intelligent while industrial sounds drown out the news from the Baltic region.
