The last few days have seen the snow melting with increasing rapidity. Today, on our way back from our foray into Söderkullä to see what Mister Lidl will sell us, I wind down the window and photograph to scene as we drive past.

It all works better than I expected. The trees seem solid and the strips of grass and snow glow under the blue Spring sky.

And Mister Lidl did have something to sell us. Last week we tried his mammi pies and this afternoon we ate his pashapulla.

These worked so much better that we almost went back for more.
