Sometimes the dark feels oppressive and sometimes it feels cozy. At the moment a variety of strategically placed candles have upped the cosiness quotient.

I have had a hard day at the zoomface and now I pace the house looking for things to look at. I have not yet used the camera on my new iPad, and this very large, three wicked, candle provides a perfect opportunity.

This completely untouched photograph surprises me in its clarity and its ability to capture the flames without turning them into white blobs. I must explore this in other circumstances.

In other news, I have received the loan of an Apple Pencil 2 and have so far found it utterly underwhelming. I might change my mind, I suppose, but I doubt it.
