Sormuspolku, 11:32

I walk strenuously and stop halfway down Sormuspolku, when I see a garden decorated for Halloween. I spend some time trying to get a photograph that captures the spirit of the garden. If I include everything then nothing stands out.

After three or four minutes I take this photograph and walk off pleased.

In the evening two girls of eight or nine will knock on our door saying “Trick or Treat” in Finnish. We will ask them for a trick and their lips will tremble. They have no tricks ready. They had hoped to get treats everywhere they went.

We go back into the house and find some candy, some biscuits, and some money. They leave happy.
