I got a message this morning pointing out today’s date amounts to 10102020, or 20201010, depending how you format it. I realised that a mere one thousand and ten years ago someone would have written down the date as 10101010. Seen as a binary number this would equal 170 in decimal notation.
Do trinary numbers exist? I wonder. Yes they do, but people refer to them as a ternary number system. Viewed as a ternary number, then, 10101010 equals 2460 in decimal. Reduced to a single digit by your favourite numerologist this equals 2+4+6+0 = 12 = 3.
According to Affinity Numerology “The numerology number 3 is about creative expression.
“The essence of the energy the number 3 represents is creative self-expression for others to observe and appreciate. It is especially adept with visual and auditory artistic expression.
“The number 3 is social. And it supports and encourages the creative expression of others.
“The meaning of the number 3 is derived from its essence.”
As if to bear all this out, I see this piece of graffiti as I walk under Itäväylä.
