The reko takes place every two weeks, and today we have come to buy fish from Pellinge.

We arrive early in time to watch the sellers setting up in the school car park. Some people only bring what customers have ordered in advance. Others have a few spare items for impulse purchase. Luckily for us Paula has a spare pie; or she does till we go over to talk to her.

I take a photograph of the next man in line: the man who won’t get a pie unless he has ordered one in advance. From the list in his hand, he has ordered a lot.

He will probably get three pies.

We also get some spare salad and then Peter Kellgren’s wife arrives with the fish.
