Itäväylä, 7:32

I have left the house not for a walk through the woods, but for a bus ride and a metro journey. I have an appointment in Sörnäinen at 8:30.
I stand at the bus stop and read the advertisement and think about it. Finnish children still roam the city freely, and I like that. They do not get driven to school en masse. Some do. Most don’t.
I will get to Sörnäinen and discover I had embarked on my mission too early. I need to wait a few weeks until October. The Finnish government will, apparently, issue special residency cards to British residents, and they have not yet agreed the final specifications.
What this means I will, no doubt, find out in a month’s time.
