Majori beach, 15:08
We take a Bolt car to Jormala and spend the day there, walking along Majori beach.
The weather starts hot and gets hotter. The sky generates an endless kaleidoscope of clouds of all kinds.
All kinds of people do all kinds of things, and I photograph them doing them. Several electric bikes with sidecars go whizzing along the beach. At one point a quad bike with two female police officers will race past at speed.
We will stop at several beach bars, doing nothing in particular. At the Sunset Bar we will hear reggae versions of Lady Gaga songs. At the Summertime Bar we will listen to Lounge FM playing ambient dance music from the nineties.
I will order a chebureki, and enjoy it. It will take a long time to arrive. We will come to understand that the cook had hand-made it, not pulled it from a packet and microwaved it.
As we leave the beach we will stop at a small restaurant where the fried ice-cream will turn out the only major disappointment of the week.
