I have come to Stoa to meet with Kipa, who wants me to advise her on how to structure her master’s thesis. I walk up the stairs to the room past the now-reopened library.

I look out of the internal window in the upstairs room onto the library. At this time of day I would normally expect to find it full of teenagers and old people. Now it appears almost empty. A man walks towards the magazines and then out of view as I take this photograph.

Helsinki has begun to reopen but many people remain cautious. The teenagers have not arrived because they have not attended school. The old people have not yet got back into their pre-virus routines.
