Sandholmsudden, 11:11

Things have begun to get back to normal. The Pellinge summer market seems quiet, but then we have arrived late. We buy bread and fish.
Benita’s Cafe, on the other hand, seems full of jollity. People sit and drink and laugh, as though the pandemic never happened.
The weather has turned into a genuine heatwave, which should (allegedly) last for at least another ten days. This has helped fuel the feeling of sudden summer.
For the moment we smile and wave, and decide that we will stop to eat a traditional egg bread. It arrives semi-traditional: the eggs and anchovies in place but the part of the saaristoleipä played by some more usual bread.
We will return later, after an afternoon of mowing.
