Yesterday we went to Prisma and thought we saw a 1963 Chevrolet Impala in perfect condition pull into one and a half parking spaces.

I had a Corgi toy of this as a child and it has stuck in my mind ever since. I walked over and photographed it.

Today I wash windows and then cycle to Prisma to buy some special bread. I see the car pulling into Prisma again as I arrive.

It must have come out for Vappu.

I then get suspicious for some reason. I suddenly remember that the fins on an Impala stuck out horizontally, if that makes sense. I google and confirm this.

I also confirm that I had the year wrong. The car I had in mind came from 1958 or 1959.

I sit and think and then google again. This time my memory works properly. We have seen a 1958 or 1959 Cadillac Eldorado.

Case closed.
