The woods, 8:12

This morning when I get up I see a panorama of whiteness. It appears to have snowed heavily for most of the night, and it continues to snow as I watch.
I have breakfast and make a bad decision. I decide that it looks as nice as yesterday morning out there. When I get outside I discover that the snow covering the ground has already started to melt and would very much like to get inside my shoes.
After a truncated walk I will stop in the woods to photograph some tall trees in falling snow, and head home to dry my feet. During the time I walk I will finish listening to a podcast about the recently deceased John Prine, who died of coronavirus.
