Jutta pointed out something that I had also noticed yesterday morning. we have reached a tipping point. For the first time since last autumn the sun had risen above the horizon by the time I got up at 7:30, and I walked to the bus stop with the morning sun low on the horizon and shining directly into my eyes.

The same happened this morning. As I turned the corner to walk down to Itäväylä the sun blinded me.

I get off the 56 bus outside DIAK and walk towards Prakticum and Arcada. I pause to look at the clear blue sky over Prakticum and the blocks of student housing. I read that the bears at Korkeasaari zoo have woken up from hibernation after only sleeping for two months. (They went to sleep very late because of the very mild autumn that led into this non-winter.)

I will work on several things in the morning, plan a course in the early afternoon, go home and continue to install things on my new computer, and record an episode for the Miaaw podcast with Sophie.
