This winter I have usually started to get ready for bed when Irma starts watching the ten o’clock news, and fallen deep asleep by the time she stops watching. Last night followed the usual weekday routine.

For the last few mornings I have woken up about 6:45 and lay in bed waiting for the alarm to go off. This morning I woke with a start, from an extremely deep sleep, as the alarm went off at 7:28. The weather had finally got to me.

At work I noticed the solar-powered Mister Bean that somebody (Nanne, Riku?) brought into the office in the autumn. Somehow it still finds enough light to jiggle around all day. Obviously it works with the room lights as well as sunlight.

In the afternoon I will record a miaaw episode with Sophie about DGD and DOP. My recorder will switch off after ten minutes so I will have the great experience of rerecording my half of the conversation to fit Sophie’s by now pre-recorded half.

I will manage to do it. However, I will promise myself that we will experiment with using zencastr as a back-up next time.
