Today, between 8 and 9am Kerala experiences a solar eclipse, that does not quite as a total eclipse. We stand on the roof to photograph it, which proves impossible. We get interesting images but none that scream “This is a total eclipse of the sun!”.

The sky darkens, the light changes to something interestingly eerie, and the birds fall completely silent until the light returns to normal.
