PBS, the US public broadcasting system, has started PBS Digital Studios to create a “network of web originals” from PBS content.

Julia Child was, once upon a time, America’s favourite TV chef: an American Fanny Craddock, if you will. She introduced French cooking to the American public in the 1960s, and she was on television until the 1990s.

To celebrate what would have been her hundredth birthday (she died in 2004), PBS have released an autotuned remix of her in action, turned into a fantastically catchy song by John D. Boswell, aka melodysheep.

Now, won’t somebody please do Fanny Craddock!
