Arabianranta Mall, 11:55

Jutta has finished teaching and persuaded me to go to the mall with her. She has got a serve-yourself salad, and I have bought some hummous, while remarking about how hard I used to find it to get hummous in Helsinki. Now the supermarkets have filled with artisanal, hand crafted brands of all kinds.
Jutta waits in line, salad in hand, while I go through the self-service checkout. This gives me time to stare down the corridor that leads past some slot machines and a tiny bank to the Alko. I watch two women walk down it.
After lunch I will make a lengthy presentation to the media team about the DGD project, and get a lot of useful feedback. Tomorrow I will make the same presentation to our funders.
