I woke at about 4am and dozed until 6, when I leaped up to pack. Breakfast started at 6:30 which coincided exactly with the time I needed to leave the hotel and walk to the metro.

I stand at Monument station and watch the first train standing in the station. Mine will arrive in two minutes.

I will spend two hours in Schiphol in the afternoon, and arrive home to just fail to accompany Sunshine to the vet for his check-up.

He will not receive good news.
