We wake up, have a home-made breakfast in room 316, and then head for the pool.

The building work opposite the hotel has finally ended and the buildings await tenants. The sun has already started to scorch the earth. The water has achieved an unrealistic, painterly blue.

At midday we will look inside Reef Mall over the road. We will have two surprises. About 75% of the shops have closed. 2358, the Japanese shop will prove to have almost everything made in China and designed in Helsinki.

Tonight we will sleep in our own beds in Helsinki.
