The Indian government has donated a statue of Gandhi to Finland, to mark his 150th birth anniversary and the 70th anniversary of the establshment of diplomatic relations between Finland and India.
The Finnish government asked the city of Helsinki to put it somewhere, and it landed in Allotrianpuisto. Irma and I have arrived to watch the ceremony.
The deputy mayor of Helsinki makes a speech. Pekka Harvisto makes a speech. The Indian minister for foreign affairs makes a speech.
