We have rented the red Jeep Wrangler again to drive around Oahu.

We pause just past Makapuu on the east coast to look out at Rabbit Island, which sits with its smaller companion (Kachikaipu island) in the middle of a turquoise sea under a bright blue sky.

Later we will eat garlic shrimp from a food truck in Kahuku. Later still we will spend a couple of hours in the historical surf town of Haleiwa.

We will once again get completely lost somewhere around Kailua, on the way back. We have past through it three times and never done it successfully.
