The sound of rain on the roof and windows woke me at 4:15, but when I woke properly at 7:30 it had gone. Just about.

I venture out into the wet garden and photograph some leaves covered in big blobs of rainwater. I also photograph the wheelbarrow full of water.

The day will offer just two choices as we move through it: rain without wind or wind without rain.

Neither will please the cat at all
