Irma has the day off and the girls have started their school holidays, and so I am the only one going to work today. I am waiting for the jouko and watching the sun through the trees.

When I left a plumber had arrived to fix the distance heating machinery. When I get to Arcada I will be the only person there, until about 11:00 when Kauko and Fred will arrive.

I will spend the day answering email, finishing the epub books, and reading for my thesis. I will also perform a long-overdue backup and read a thesis that requires me to revise my knowledge of Adorno.

When I get home I will join in the gardening, carrying sawn-off branches and twigs to the woods, before painting a small chest of drawers white.
