When we got up this morning Naa and I could hardly walk. Our legs hurt and walking up and down stairs was especially painful.

In the afternoon we got a rickshaw to the beach, leaving Bruno guarding the house. We had asked for Lighthouse Beach and so we were taken to the lighthouse end. We walked along and met Michael and Vincent who are now working at Jeevans.

We walked further to Leo which is, in its characteristically lackadaisical way, closed for the day while everyone mends the roof.

I am standing on the beach looking at a deserted Leo where the others are sitting changing money. It may be a building site but it is (partly) open for business.

We will walk back to Jeevans to eat. We will have butter chicken and rice and drink lemon sodas.
